Twas days before Christmas
When all through my mind
Ran a list of presents
I needed to find

What did I get him
Did I buy for her
The big day is coming
And my thoughts a blur

I did make a list
It was tidy and neat
Where I did place it
Is what’s got me beat

I look high and low
And then low and high
Oh there it is
And heave a big sigh

I’m more caught up
Than I originally thought
Only a few things more
That need to be bought

Then wrapping the presents
With bows and ribbons
Tags and tissue paper
Let the gifting begin

Will check my list
A few more times
But I think I’m finished
This year on time.
